**Obituary: Jack Adams (1927–2022)**
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Adams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and dedicated public servant. Jack passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022, at the age of 95.
Born on February 20, 1927, in a small town that would shape his strong values of community and justice, Jack went on to live a life marked by service, kindness, and a passion for the well-being of those around him. After graduating from university in 1948 with a degree in architectural design, Jack initially embarked on a career in architecture. However, his true calling emerged when he found his passion for protecting and serving others. He joined the local police force, where he would serve for an impressive 30 years, dedicating his life to upholding justice and ensuring the safety of his community.
Jack was married to his beloved wife, Sarah, for over 60 years, and together they raised three children, who were the pride and joy of his life. His family remembers him as a devoted father who always put their needs above his own, and a grandfather whose wisdom and love will continue to inspire generations to come.
Though Jack's professional life was centered around law enforcement, he led a quiet, grounded life outside of work. An avid outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed hiking and camping, often spending weekends exploring the natural beauty of the world with friends and family. Socializing with close friends was another of Jack's great pleasures, and many will remember him for his warm smile, easy laughter, and genuine interest in others. Whether it was enjoying a weekend barbecue or simply catching up over a cup of coffee, Jack's presence was always a welcome one.
In his later years, Jack found joy in reflecting on his life of service and community, always proud of the work he had done and the difference he had made. He was known for his strong moral compass, integrity, and unwavering belief in the power of justice.
Jack leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will be felt for years to come. He is survived by his wife Sarah, his three children, and his grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Jack's life, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local community center, a cause close to Jack’s heart.
Jack Adams lived a full and meaningful life, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
